-UAC Droid Sprite Set

-Compiled and Edited by the Great Wasabi

This sprite set was originally for the original Rise of the Triad, which was first planned to be a Wolf 3D add-on, but Apogee Software ditched the Wolfenstein engine, instead formulating a new game engine of their own. I stumbled across the old graphics on a part of the 3d Realms website (AKA Apogee Software), and I shared the find with the Wolfenstein modding community. These old graphics are a great find for Wolf modders, and they have been used in many mods and add-ons so far. All because I found them by accident on a Google search...

Anyways, this set is the original robot droid for Rise of the Triad. The set picture was incomplete (missing the death animation and most of the movement animation), so I filled in the blanks, and here it is. This set is best suited for placement on the Ubermutant (the undead soldier dude), which is what I intended it to be used on. This droid appears in my new mod, Dead World Rising 2. Hope you play it. And please give me credit if you decide to use this sprite set. Feel free to remove the UAC acronym (which you likely will have to anyways), and do whatever. Hope your mod turns out good! If you have questions or concerns, please e-mail me about them. I'm also available from time to time to do level modding. Which I'm quite good at. ^_^

SOME FACTS ABOUT APOGEE

-Technically, 3D Realms is still Apogee Software, because they never officially changed their name.

-In all of Apogee's (3D Realms') games, there appears references and/or images of an old Commander Keen enemy called the Dopefish. There's a great website on the Internet that lists all of his appearances.

-Apogee and id Software were once great partners. Before going their separate ways in the early 1990's, they made dozens of games including Commander Keen and a little game called Wolfenstein 3D.
